GLINT
Delivering high-quality, multicentre research and service evaluation across gastroenterology and hepatology. Generating impactful evidence while supporting trainees in developing research skills.
What We Do
GLINT brings together gastroenterology trainees across London to collaborate on meaningful research that improves patient outcomes.
Multicentre Research
We design and conduct high-quality studies across multiple centres, generating evidence that matters for patient care.
Trainee Development
Supporting the next generation of researchers with mentorship, training, and hands-on experience in academic gastroenterology.
Events & Education
Organising conferences, workshops, and networking events to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Dose & Dispose: The Hidden Cost of Wasted Sedation in Endoscopy
We are conducting a multicentre, retrospective service evaluation assessing sedation-disposal practices over a two-week period. The primary aim is to quantify the amount of wasted IV sedation agents (midazolam, fentanyl, and buscopan) during endoscopic procedures, with a view to identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve sustainability.
